Manvendra leads Intellinexus Ventures, among the fastest growing platforms working with early-stage startups and businesses looking to enter India or Indian enterprises looking to expand rapidly within or outside the country.

He began his career with a mutual fund company – Principal Mutual Fund, initially with sales and distribution and then with marketing, product management and strategic initiatives. A stint with ABN Amro Bank (later Royal Bank of Scotland in India) followed where he was a product manager and later a leader for investment services and wealth management. At ICICI Bank he led the product and program team for the mass affluent segment – Privilege Banking.

After almost 17 years as a financial services professional, he turned into public policy advisor. Besides working with a senior political leader and Member of Parliament, he has worked with public policy consulting firms advising numerous global companies and foundations.

His ability to connect the dots between politics, public policy, businesses, investors and varied stakeholders helps to achieve elevated growth, and drive impactful change. His vast network of connections provides a competitive edge in a dynamic and complex market environment

Education

Manvendra attended Welham Boys’ School, Dehradun. He has a BA (Honours) in Economics from Ramjas College, University of Delhi and his PGDM was at NMIMS, Mumbai.

He has supplemented this with programs in Public Policy from ISB, in Creative Writing from XIC and in International Relations and Affairs.

Interests

Manvendra is passionate about connecting people, and minds to fuel growth of businesses. His sharp problem-solving skills makes him an ideal mentor for startups and new ventures.

He has an abiding interest in financial services. He is passionate about financial education and financial inclusion. He has written about it in leading newspapers. He has advocated with the government for financial education as an efficient way of enhancing financial inclusion.

He enjoys writing has been published numerous times in leading newspapers and magazines and has a collection of short stories to his credit.

Manavendra has a keen interest in history, culture, and politics. He believes in soft power as an important tool to raise India’s global standing and win influence especially in areas that can be considered the Indo sphere. He loves reading about history; William Dalrymple’s writings are amongst the favourite. He closely tracks and follows various narratives in the world of politics.

It is his dream to be able to make a significant impact on society especially in Bihar, his home state.
